HANNA NORDENHÖK

Hanna Nordenhök (Malmo, 1977) started out as an acclaimed poet but has in recent years captivated readers with her dark ravishing novels. Her work has been awarded and shortlisted for a number of prestigious literary awards, Caesaria (2020) scooped Swedish Radios Novel Prize. Our edition of Caesaria, translated by Saskia Vogel, was runner-up of the Bernard Shaw Prize 2025. Her most recent novel, Wonderland (2023), in English in 2026 with Héloïse Press, was shortlisted both for VI:s Literature Prize and The Eyvind Johnson Prize, as well as listed among The Best Books of The Year in a number of Swedish daily papers and magazines. In 2025, her oeuvre was awarded the honored Stina Aronson Prize. Hanna is also a translator and has been praised for her translations from the Spanish of authors such as Alia Trabucco Zerán, Samanta Schweblin and Aurora Venturini.
